Article 39. Conformity assessment bodies of third countries

Artikel 39. Konformitätsbewertungsstellen in Drittländern

Conformity assessment bodies established under the law of a third country with which the Union has concluded an agreement may be authorised to carry out the activities of notified bodies under this Regulation, provided that they meet the requirements laid down in Article 31 or they ensure an equivalent level of compliance.

Konformitätsbewertungsstellen, die nach dem Recht eines Drittlands errichtet wurden, mit dem die Union ein Abkommen geschlossen hat, können ermächtigt werden, die Tätigkeiten notifizierter Stellen gemäß dieser Verordnung durchzuführen, sofern sie die Anforderungen gemäß Artikel 31 erfüllen oder das gleiche Maß an Konformität gewährleisten.
